Girls who will be starting kindergarten in the fall and their parents and caregivers are invited to attend Girl Sprouts, an introduction to Girl Scouts event on Friday, May 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pitts Center in Southern Shores. During the event, parents and caregivers can learn more about and register their girls to start Girl Scouts in the fall, while girls play games, make bracelets and work on earning their first Girl Scout patch.
In Girl Scouts, girls enjoy new experiences and friendships while building courage, confidence and character that will last a lifetime. Parents and caregivers are also invited to join as volunteers who serve as mentors and role models in a variety of positions to fit any schedule and a wide range of interests.
