Top Outer Banks Events & Restaurant Specials for Week of May 8
Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend with lots of exciting family-friendly events happening on the Outer Banks. This upcoming weekend marks the 34th Annual Yuengling Nags Head Woods 5K Run on Saturday morning, May 13th. Enjoy our great beaches, nature and history with a race through the Nature Conservancy’s Ecological Preserve. Then, grab the kids and head over to the Grand Opening of Dowdy Park from 10am-8pm. The Grand Opening is a free event featuring the Dare County Arts Council’s 28th Annual Artrageous Kids Art Festival from 10am-3pm, followed by a free outdoor concert from 3-8pm. Also held on Saturday the 13th, will be the 2017 Couture by the Shore, where fashion and fundraising unite to help the Outer Banks Relief Foundation from 11am-3pm at Kelly’s Restaurant in Nags Head. On Sunday, May 14th, treat Mom to Mother’s Day Brunch on the Duck waterfront at AQUA or check out the many other Outer Banks restaurant specials available all this week.
