The annual show is held in memory of Outer Banks preservationist and artist Frank Stick. This longest-running art exhibit in Dare County features original works of art in painting, drawing, sculpture, metals, fiber, wood, and mixed media. The show will be on display at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery from January 28th through February 25th, 2017.
The opening reception was held Saturday, January 28th from 6-8pm at the DCAC Gallery and featured hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and awards. Artists had a chance to win the following awards: Eure Best in Show, 3 Excellence Awards, The Beach Book Excellence Award, 2 Beach Book Honorable Mentions, 2 additional Honorable Mentions, and a People’s Choice Award which was selected by public ballot during the opening reception.
