Hands Across the Sand is an international coordinated day of action focusing on the protection of our coastal economies, oceans, marine wildlife and fisheries. It’s about preserving our precious drinking water, air and food. On May 18, we will form lines, joining hands to say NO to dirty fossil fuels and offshore drilling in your coastal waters and YES to clean energy. This worldwide event takes place each year and we’re excited to be apart of it in 2019. Join us just before noon at Jennette’s Pier. Nags Head Mayor Ben Cahoon will give a few remarks and then we’ll head to the beach to hold hands and take a photo at 12:30. We will have you back to enjoying the beach no later than 12:45!
