The 5th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade is coming to a new location this year, Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills, on Sunday, October 28th. The new venue provides parking available to the public at all First Flight schools, and a slightly longer parade route of about a half-mile, starting and ending at Aviation Park.
The largest Halloween celebration on the Outer Banks, this family-friendly event includes a pre-parade party, trick-or-treating, and of course Dare County’s ultimate costume contest with a total of $5,000 in prizes to be awarded in eight different categories and age groups.
Admission and registration to this rain or shine event is free and all attendees, including spectators, are asked to come dressed in a costume in the spirit of the event.
The mission of the Parade of Costumes is to provide a safe and positive celebration of Halloween and its traditions for Outer Banks locals and visitors with loads of fun for adults and kids of all ages.
