Winter Lighthouse Climb
Enjoy a winter view of Hatteras Island from the top of the light tower! The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse will be open to the public for a free Winter Climb on Saturday December 8, 2018 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Volunteers from the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society and Cape Hatteras National Seashore park rangers look forward to greeting local residents and visitors at the lighthouse. Blackbeard’s Revenge 100
Blackbeard’s Revenge 100 Mile, 100 Mile Relay and 100 Kilometer are new point to point races from Corolla to Hatteras! Why the name “Revenge”, you ask? The Outer Banks are finicky. Avon Fishing Pier 4th of July Fireworks at the Beach
Avon and Hatteras Island's annual Independence Day celebration, Fireworks at the Beach, is sponsored by the Avon Property Owners Association and funded in part by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau. The 2019 Cape Hatteras Wave Classic presented by Patagonia is a week-long, wave-focused kitesurfing event held September 14th–20th in Cape Hatteras. This is an open event. Anyone is allowed to register and compete. The event will be divided into two divisions: Men's Open and Women's Open.
